Free Camping And Loving It.

Image
We are currently camping 18klms outside of the town of Kambalda. At the Corner of the Coolgardie-Esperance Hwy and the Goldfields Hwy there is a rest area that you find a track behind the rest area that goes along way from the road. It is peaceful and tranquil being outdoors. We have setup the energy collection devices such as solar panels and wind turbine the batteries are fully top at the end of a day with abundant amount of offgrid power available. There has been a constant wind blowing in this area good for the wind generator. Today is washing day, being totally self sufficient makes it easy to live offgrid. The ground has Blackstone and white quartz, this usually represents good prospecting ground with active gold mines up the road some metal detecting might be worth while. Relaxing under a shady tree in our reclining chair makes it easy to take a nap if you are tied enough. Last night we were star gazing under the night skies. We have been counting how many satellites we

Traveling to Esperance.

Well we arrived into the Esperance industrial area where the Information Bay was found. Took some pictures. This was disappointing as Esperance is a big town and not greeting fellow travelers to the area with a good display as some smaller town are very good at greeting their visitors. On entering the town we headed down to the esplande to check out parks and ocean views these were great but parking for long vechiles still needed to be addressed more. Photo opportunity again. The local steel fabricator Cindy Poole and partner has created a lovely whale tail sculpture on the Esplande. Other things like playgrounds, free bbqs and miniature red lighthouse and city clock on display. Photo opportunity again. A museum on corner big propellers and satellite display. Across the road they had a military display as well. The Esperance War Memorial, has an Army tank on display. Photo opportunity again. The surrounding beaches just beautiful.
