The Zero Breeze 12v Airconditioner.  We have been trying out to see how useful a portable airconditioner would be to us.  Well we live in a camper trailer which has a canvas tent ontop of a trailer. The canvas holds the heat. Well the main problem is sleeping at night when the night time temps are around 30°c.  The company states that this is a personal airconditioner and not a room airconditioner,  it only has around 1,100 BTU but it is a real refrigeration airconditioner.  We bought 2 units and have them at the foot of the bed, where an exhaust tube and water hose runs outside through the canvas wall. As the units draw 12.5 amp/hrs I worry that my batteries will maybe run flat and damage the batteries.  This is why we bought 2 lithium batteries supplied by the same company and each battery runs for 5hrs, so swopping the batteries over give me 10hrs run time.  So far the Zero Breeze has done a fantastic job at cooling us down a comfortable night sleep...

Heat Wave @ Herbert Park

Well we have had some more upgrades to do before setting off. Still at Herbert Park on the banks of the Yule River which is dry sand.  Gay-Maree has a new T shirt she likes for camping. Yes we have only started into the spring season and we are experiencing a heat wave, 42°c yesterday sitting in the truck air-conditioning.  The southern part of Australia is freezing. Currently while writing it is 36°c, expecting 38°c today already very hot.  The portable airconditioning Zero Breeze has been keeping us comfortable, even though room temperature is 28.7°c when going to bed.  Well we have a big 2.6kw air conditioner but went to start the Gentrax 3.5kw generator not even 12 month old which has died on me, it will start but keeps throwing the overload switch, and cutting out even though nothing connected.  A faulty switch on a Chinese geno not surprised, but has been unreliable since we bought it.  We feel it is not worth throwing anymore money at it to get repai...
