Trip to Hopetoun WA.
Well in the last blog we got as far as Mason Bay and after that road closure. Well after further investigation we found the cause. The South Ocean Road that passes through the Jerdacuttup Lake Nature Reserve has broken it banks and lake water has flooded the road that passes through between the foreshore dunes and the Lake. The road has been closed for a year as the water isnot receding as rain water keeps topping up the levels of the lake. This explains why we had to detour to get to Hopetoun. We have been through Hopetoun recently but thought we would have something to eat on the wharf area. It is a hot day and people are swimming in the water. Well after having something to eat it was time to make tracks to the town of Ravensthorpe were we have been before but as we went through the town and ascending a big hill we passed silo art but nowhere to pull over but managed on the side of the hill not very good but I did get some pics.
