Bush Camping Jacup WA

We are currently bush camping near Jacup in WA.

It is near the southern coastline of Western Australia, between Albany and Esperance.

We are between 30 - 50klms as the crow flies from the Antarctic ocean in the Great Australian Bite. This place gets fantastic sea breezes and keeps this area cool.

The thinking with the heatwave gripping Australia and we experienced above 40•c every day for 2 weeks in Spring while exploring the Kimberley's that we would try to find a chill place to wait the summer period out.

Our chill place is Jacup across from the Fitzgerald River National park. Most nights jumpers and beanies are worn.

The camper trailer heater is used as the temp drops below 10c. Day time temps mostly between 23 • 30•c. We do still get the odd day above 40•c but the temp drops fast in the afternoon as the sea breezes reaches us.

We found a wonderful camp place in the bush at the back of a rest area and we have it all to ourselves. The landscape is beautiful lots of trees for a wind break.

Telstra mobile reception in this area. We have the satellite dish setup for the cricket.

Plenty of trees to tie a clothesline to. Wildlife is good kangaroo and birds even lizards.

We have a new pet blue tongue lizard who comes to visit every day and he loves it when he gets fresh strawberries to eat off a plate.

They move slow and does not worry about people. Jools our pet Maltese has a few barks as he is very jealous.

This part of Australia is very beautiful, the coastline and beaches make you daydream about how beautiful living on the beaches would be. Unfortunately the council's and local Caravan Parks do not like it, because their business would go broke.
