Dumaresq River Campground At Texas.

Image
We are camping at the Texas Campground, on the border of New South Wales and Queensland. This is our first adventure with Jools Our new Maltese puppy.  The Texas Campground borders the Dumaresq river which is on the river banks where you camp. We are camping on the New South Wales side at this time. It is full with wildlife, birds, kangaroos, fish in the river, and cows too. Beautiful vista views the sun rising above the river, it is very peaceful and tranquil. Plenty of trees hugging the river bank proving shade and windbreaks. The town of Texas only a few kilometres away. Dump point, potable water available, Post Office, Police, TMR, Foodworks and Spar, newsagent, Hospital, Hotel, RSL Memorial building, free hot showers adjacent to the post office in the main street are in town. Some history of the town of Texas. Texas was colonized in 1840. The land was Bilambul land, where aboriginal people resided for many of thousands of years before the colonization of the town of Texas. T
