While At Bringo Lookout.
It has been raining on and off for 4days here, waiting for clear skies. Met a local farmer today who can see us from a distance and came over for a talk about our solar power system setup.
He has told me he lives over on his hobby farm with no power and uses an esky that he has to go to town every second day for ice.
The most ironic thing is he bought a 3kw solar kit 2yrs ago and it is in his shed still in the boxes. I asked how do you see at night he told me with a torch.
I told him it is not that hard to setup this system so I will go over tomorrow and see if I can help him out by setting up some of it to generate power for him.
The farmer came over in the afternoon which did not leave much time he picked me up in his ute and showed me what he calls spy hill. This is a military base that has a lookout on top of a hill.
He had solar panels, charge controllers, batteries, inverter but no cables. Drawing a diagram of how the components go together and explaining where to connect the wires, I said I hope this helps.
As we were leaving the next day.
That afternoon we had a rain shower, then the sun appeared and created a beautiful rainbow over the valley, definitely worth a picture or two.
