Kunannara and Lake Argle.

We stay overnight at Dunham River rest area, again as there is more shade. We have been packing up early as the day temps 42°c constantly for a week so far. The truck air conditioner is very welcoming. Lake Argle is about 150klms from our starting point.

As we start our drive the Kimbley ranges are everywhere all different shapes and sizes and looks different depending where the sunlight is on the ranges.

As we get close to Kunnanurra we cross what looks like a bridge ontop of a dam wall controlling the water flow of the river. Plenty of water in the rivers at Kunnanura. First stop pass the bridge is a park that leads to Swim Beach where we stopped for a break.

We went into town for mail and fuel. Diesel $1.55.9lt at the Puma station cheap everywhere else prices upto $2.00lt.

Onto our next trip Lake Argle, this is very close to the Northern Territory border. At the turn off there, were a few rest area along the way. We pasted one rest area that has a big Boab tree in there with a sign saying "living the dream" photo opportunity.

The next rest area by a bridge there were a lot of waterholes and beware of crocodile sign we drove down a steep entrance to the rest area along the river bank.

We continued driving with the views of the Kimbley ranges all around us up a very steep incline ontop of the hill a caravan park and sign saying no caravans pass this point.

The road twist and turns very narrow in part and a steep decline down to the picnic area.
It was very hot, even in the shade, i would have like to stay for a picnic. I had concerns how i would get up the steep incline as speed limit only 30klms\hr with very tight turns and pulling 7ton of weight.

Slow but sure the Isuzu manage the task well, now the travel back into Kunnanurra fill up with cheap fuel and set off for the Dunham River rest area for the night.
