Onto Lake Indoon from Meekathara.
Now we departed Meekathara heading south to the town of Cue. As we left Meekathara another 2 huge super pits in the ground and the mountains surrounding have been stripped of there minerals.
As we entered Cue, 2 roadhouses on the main road, but diesel is dear.
We went looking for the Puma station it was in a truck assembly area and turned out to be a 24hr self serve big tank above ground that operates via your credit card.
It took a little to figure out how to operate as the sunlight was on the display screen making it hard to see but we worked it out and diesel was $165.9 let well worth the effort.
The town of Cue was a very nice looking town with some historic buildings still in use. A lovely gazebo in a artificial grasses area in the middle of the roadway.
On exiting Cue, next town Mt Magnet. It was getting late in the afternoon, we looked at a site to rest but it was still very hot in the day and lots of flies, we thought we would drive on into Mt Magnet, reasonable size town,
and a mining museum, traveling south to our campsite for the night called Kirkalocka rest area.
It was a comfortable overnight stop only thing that spoiled it, was the hostile flies going for the face. It is great to have fly nets that you can put over your head. This makes living in the outback easier.
On headed south next stop Paynes Find a roadhouse and caravan park and motel attached.
Gay-Maree also scored another cartoon of V-drink from here, yes very dear but I do drink allot of V-drinks.😁😁😁
Next town Wubin where we turned right heading west, starting to feel hungry.
Pulled into the next rest area for lunch. Wildflowers along the roadside everywhere. Photo opportunity again.
Went through several towns, Perenjari, Carnamah, Three Springs, Eneabba and onto Lake Indoon campground where we plan to stay a few days.
We setup camp for the night, shady trees, sandy soil with grass a cool change in weather and a beautiful lake view with water in the lake. What a great find. Last night was also a full moon, lite up the lake and the whole campground. Went around some of the campground and down to the shores of Lake Indoon and took some pictures. Lovely cool day, but sunny.
