Onto To Manjimup WA.

We have now left Nannup and drove another 60klms towards the town of Manjimup. The roads takes you through bush area National parks, farming area, Lavender farms, dairy farms with cows, sheep farms, and agricultural farms with fruit and vegetables. Most farms had big water dams on their property.
Arriving at the town of Manjimup we a greeted with a welcome sign.
The timber frame even though you cannot see it has the words Manjimup spelt out on each rafter of the frame. Manjimup is a small town with history of early settlers explored this area in 1830, using the Noongar tribe to show them how to survive in the area. Manjimup is home to the King Jara, a tree estimated to be 500 years old, has a diameter of 26m and a height of 45m.
Also on display is a section of tree that was cut down to make way for a road, that had meaning to the Noongar people. It was salvaged and put on display. This was the birth tree of the late Queejup, he was a legendary Noongar stockman born somewhere in the 1800s.
We also found the Wine and Truffle company. Gay-Maree went inside exploring and taking pictures and coming out with a expressive bottle of wine. I hope it is nice when we try it.
Down the road was the Diamond tree lookout. This is where you are allowed to climb a tree if heights doesn't worry you. Obvious this was a deal breaker for me, I get dizzy and nose bleeds anything above 12 inches however Gay-maree showing off made it 4 runs up, before coming back down. The tree is 52m high great views from the top if you have the nerve.

It is now getting late in the afternoon time to find a campsite for the night. Drove through the town of Pemberton onto Northcliffe finding a campsite called Connolly Flat near a National park. We setup camp for the night.
