Free Camping-What It Means To Me.

Freedom camping is a perfect fit for our lifestyle. As we travel around Australia we require a pet friendly venues to accommodate the way we live.

When it comes to the high cost of travelling around our country, freedom camping does help offsetting some of these cost so you can spend money in outback towns so they can survive and not turn into ghost towns.

Freedom Camping also represents to me that I am contributing to helping save the planet as now we can live an offgrid lifestyle. As global warming is becoming more evident with bad weather and heat waves.

This is a great lifestyle as you run into many a fellow travelers who like to stop an have a yarn, by the campfire.

We also enjoy movie night outdoors with a projector and screen and it is a nights entertainment for all who join in. Star gazing at the night sky is better in the bush than in town, where there is to much light that blocks the star out.

Freedom camping allows you to setup camp where you want at the right sites. The caravan park lobbying group does not want you to free camp within 20klms of a caravan park and gets councils onside to employ park rangers to enforce fines. This is alright by me.

The tranquility of the bush, the beauty of the landscape, wildlife, birdlife, rowing down the river in you kayak really makes it worthwhile. Beautiful sunsets at the end of a day and greeted again with a beautiful sunrise.

Just you in isolation or fellow travelers enjoy the experience with you.

This is truly the Australian dream of retirement travelling this great brown land called Australia. Having fun exploring and experiencing outback towns, coastal oceans areas that is bordering Australia.
