Coominglah Range Campsite.
lWell this morning a heavy fog around the campsite. Went for a walk to find the spring at Ban Ban Springs. It turned out to be very close to our campsite but long grass and reeds blocking the view. Got some pics this morning of our campsite and the spring.
Now it was time to pack up to see how far we get. Travelling to the town of Gayndah, onto Mundubbera, which we pulled in for lunch.
The town is built on the side of a hill, caravan parking at the bottom along way to walk in town from where you have to park.
After our lunch break I took a picture of the Mundubbera sign and a painting by a local artist on the back of the sign by Malcolm Brown , beautiful artwork.
Now onto the town of Eidsvold, and out to Wuruma Dam, free camping area out there we thought we would check it out.
This is a very popular fishing spot and the dam is stocked with Australian Bass, Silver Perch, Cod fish and all water craft allowed.
Well it was along way out there you go through the town of Abercorn and out to the dam area. A new sign States camping along the waters edge no longer permitted but camping at the dam wall was allowed. These changes came in March 2019.
So we went to the dam wall to check out the camping area. This is not for us. You must reverse your caravan into Corrales, the next caravan so close you can hear everything, you would not what to break wind without telling your neighbors to close their windows first.
At the entrance a heap of rules to follow, they do provide a water tap at every corral.
This is nothing like freedom camping so we moved On. This is where you are free to choose not to play by there rules.
Now off we go the next town Mulgildie is place of the bunyip, there is a statue of the bunyip on display.
Now onto Monto to pickup dinner and then onto our campsite for tonight way up into the mountains called Coominglah Range Campsite for tonight not very crowded and peaceful and quiet.
Camper trailer now setup, it is time to relax and chill out on the days events. Travelling is great your trip becomes a novel without trying Ha! Ha!
I awoke to another foggy morning Sat out side and waited for the sun to burn off the moisture. It is now a beautiful sunny day so I went around the campsite to take some pictures for the blog.
This campsite has toilets available and is a free camp stay.
