lWell this morning a heavy fog around the campsite. Went for a walk to find the spring at Ban Ban Springs. It turned out to be very close to our campsite but long grass and reeds blocking the view. Got some pics this morning of our campsite and the spring.    Now it was time to pack up to see how far we get. Travelling to the town of Gayndah, onto Mundubbera, which we pulled in for lunch.  The town is built on the side of a hill, caravan parking at the bottom along way to walk in town from where you have to park. After our lunch break I took a picture of the Mundubbera sign and a painting by a local artist on the back of the sign by Malcolm Brown , beautiful artwork. Now onto the town of Eidsvold, and out to Wuruma Dam, free camping area out there we thought we would check it out. This is a very popular fishing spot and the dam is stocked with Australian Bass, Silver Perch, Cod fish and all water craft allowed. Well it was along way out there you go through the town of Abercorn and out

Well after a very foggy morning at Harland Park, talking to cyclist who travel along the heritage trails, it was time to pack up again. Heading into Yarraman, then on through Nanago, which is a big town, we travel up to Goomeri where we turnoff to the Kinbombi Falls, this is a campground and a public tourist spot to look at the Falls. The camping area are free and a new toilet block, but the main camping is just the sides of the main roads that navigate around this area, wire fence on one side not a lot of area to spread out no more than a car parking area. Pics a bit blurred, condensation on the lens. However the trails of concrete steps that take you down into a gorge where the Kinbombi Falls are is just spectacular, not much water over the Falls a small trickle but still spectacular.  Unfortunately the camera does not do justice to this area. I walked all of the concrete steps down, but getting up them what a experience it made me feel that I was grossly unfit, and this is true, My

Well we finally left the town of Texas, QLD. The weather has been fantastic in this area a bit sorry to leave, but now back on the road.  We headed out to Warwick and over the Gap, down to the town of Aratula and a bit further we stop at the Fassifern Rest Area for the night, it is a big overnight camp spot but close to the road, and plenty of road noise overnight. Toilet available with good mobile reception.  Next morning packed up and set off through Ipswich and onto Fernvale on the way to Wivenhoe Dam, we came here about 20years ago small town area with a pie shop.  Now it looks like a major type of town with traffic and tourist just like the Noosa and Sunshine Coast area. It is a very busy area. The Wivenhoe Dam beautiful as we drove on top of the dam wall. The water level is down a bit but it is a very big dam water catchment area. Next town Esk, just as busy, went on to Toogoolawah and stop for lunch at Poll Cradell Park another free campsite.  After having our break it was

We left Gum Flats Reserve and headed towards the town of Texas via Warialda. On checking out the campgrounds there is a lot of shade this time of the year, the QLD side mostly in shade very few sunny areas. The NSW side down by the river was also in a lot of shade so we moved On top travelling along way to a campsite which felt as we were bush camping. Lots of sun through the day compared to other sites having the ability to top the batteries up via solar, this is not a bad site after all. Kangaroos, Kookaburras, lots of squarking Sulphar Crested Cockatoos, bird life in abundant, even cows grazing. We are having lots of campfires plenty of firewood lying around. Mobile reception good, hoping TV reception good for the State of Origin this Wednesday. Have not tried yet the TV. Lots of walking trails with river views. The Dumaresq River is very low, last month it was dry the council released water from the Glen Lyon Dam to flush the river but the farmers redrained the entire content
